Facility Requirements Chapter

The Facility Requirements Chapter will be prepared based on the FAA’s approved forecasts of aeronautical activity and compared to the Airport’s planning goals and objectives.  An analysis of the airfield capacity will be created, including CMI’s Annual Service Volume and Peak Hourly capacity of the existing airfield configuration.  Existing airfield conditions will be compared to the aviation demand forecast and FAA design standards to identify airfield facility requirements.

As part of this Airport Master Plan, building site assessments will be conducted and used to formulate a program to correct pre-9/11 terminal needs.  A holistic review of all landside facilities including support facilities like the tower, fire-fighting facilities and the snow removal equipment building will be conducted.
